天部/tenbu
仏像には さまざまな種類、ランクがあります。ランクの高い順に「如来(にょらい)」「菩薩(ぼさつ)」「明王(みょうおう)」「天部(てんぶ)」「羅漢・高僧(らかん・こうそう)など」の5種類があります。
There are various types and ranks of Buddha statues. 5 types: “Nyorai”, “Busatsu”, “Myoo”, “Tenbu”, “Rakan / Kouso”.
天(天部)とは、天上世界に住む鬼神(仏教に帰依した神々)を意味します。仏教を信じる心を妨げる外敵から人々を護り、仏法を守護するという役割を持ちます。釈迦の説教に感動し、仏教に帰依した(他教、インド神話の)神々です。天(天部)は、如来・菩薩の領域と人間(衆生)との中間に位置します。
Tenbu means the demons (gods attributed to Buddhism) who live in the heavenly world.
It has the role of protecting people from foreign enemies that obstruct the heart of believing in Buddhism and protecting Buddhism.
Impressed by the preaching of Buddha, the gods (other religions, Indian mythology) who died into Buddhism.
Tenbu are located in the middle of the area of Nyorai and Bosatsu and human beings.
